FAQ

Common questions about shopping with Elite Cards. Questions? Email us.

New to graded cards?

Graded cards are professionally assessed by companies like PSA, BGS, or CGC and sealed in a tamper-evident holder with a condition grade (e.g. PSA 10, BGS 9.5). A higher grade usually means better condition and often higher value. Graded cards give you a verified condition score before you buy, reduce disputes, and often hold or increase value over time. If you're new, start with our shop page—use the "Graded" sort to see only PSA/BGS graded sports cards. See "What does graded mean?" and "Why buy graded sports cards?" below for more.

What does “graded” mean?

Graded cards are professionally assessed by companies like PSA, BGS, or CGC and sealed in a tamper-evident holder with a condition grade (e.g. PSA 10, BGS 9.5). Grading gives you a clear, third-party opinion on condition so you know exactly what you're buying. PSA and BGS grade sports cards; CGC grades comics. A higher grade usually means better condition and often higher value.

What's the difference between PSA, BGS, and CGC?

PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) and BGS (Beckett Grading Services) grade sports cards and some memorabilia. PSA uses a 1–10 scale; BGS uses 1–10 with subgrades. CGC (Certified Guaranty Company) grades comics. All three are trusted, industry-standard graders. We carry PSA graded sports cards, BGS graded cards, and CGC graded comics.

Why buy graded sports cards?

Graded sports cards (PSA, BGS) give you a verified condition score before you buy, reduce disputes, and often hold or increase value over time. They're sealed in a holder that protects the card. Many collectors and investors prefer graded cards for authenticity and liquidity.
